Who am I?

My name is Kathy Wilson. Not only am I a Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator, I am the mother of three boys. It is with great pleasure that I pass on my experience as a parent. Since I am able to "remember when", I can empathize with the new mom. Multiple births are not a challenge for me, as my husband is an identical twin and my younger brothers are fraternal twins.

Because information is always changing, I strive to educate myself with the latest news in breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum issues. I attend classes and workshops, read books and articles, am a member of CAPPA (Childbirth And Postpartum Professionals Association) and La Leche League. If I don't know the answer to a question, I will do my best to find the answer to better inform the parent(s).

In my spare time, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, church activities, volunteering and my horse Cinder. My boys and my husband Fred are an inspiration and provide many hours of joy, laughter and story examples.
