Postpartum Doula Service

As a postpartum doula, I will focus on the new mother. I will be her buffer zone to unwanted distractions and guard the sanctuary of her home.   I will make sure she is getting the rest she needs, that she is eating well, or that she gets that coveted shower. I will meet her emotional needs with companionship, a listening ear and if neccessary a shoulder to lean on. I will assist with the care of the newborn by answering any questions that may come up, but I won't replace mom and dad as the caregiver.  I will help the new family adapt to their new roles with reasssurance and encouragement.  Other tasks include: mother caregiver, breastfeeding assistance,  infant care and advice, educator, sibling caregiver, light housework, meal preparation, errand runner.

My fee is based on geography and need.  I will be happy to arrange an interview with you at your convenience.
