Postpartum Doula Service
As a postpartum
doula, my main focus is the new mom. I will make sure she is getting the rest
she needs, that she is eating well, or that she gets that coveted shower. I will
assist with the care of the newborn by answering any questions that may come up,
but I won't replace mom and dad as the caregiver. Other tasks include:
mother caregiver,
breastfeeding assistance
My fee is $25 per hour with a nine hour minimum and a $75 non refundable deposit. I will be happy to arrange an interview with you at your convenience.
Childbirth Educator
I currently teach class through Gracewinds Perinatal Services at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center. Classes included Childbirth Prep, Breastfeeding Basics, Newborn Care, New Family Skills, and Infant Safety/ CPR. Go to the "Classes" page for a list of dates.
Private classes are available for $120 and a 3 hour minimum. Each additional hour is $40. The class can be tailored to meet your needs and only the topics that you want would be covered.
Happiest Baby On The Block Workshop
This workshop gives you an opportunity to receive practical, hands-on instruction to the intricacies of Dr. Harvey Karp's 5 -S's. Not only do you come away with proven techniques for calming a fussy baby, but you also receive a Parent Kit which includes The Happiest Baby On The Block DVD and a Soothing Sounds CD. If you are expecting or have a newborn, this workshop can be a sanity saver. Babies are always welcome.
The cost of this workshop is $50. Private workshops are available for $65. Workshop dates are listed on the "Classes" page.
